Fiery, red-hot, ‘burn the roof off your mouth’ kind of spice. Buttercup was undeniably the spice of the Powerpuff Girls.
I need to punch!”ĭon’t let the cute name fool you. Two of my favorites were Buttercup, the toughest of the Powerpuff Girls, and Ace, the underhanded leader of the villainous Gangreen Gang. The characters were personally what I liked best about the show. It had humor, action, and a whole lot of memorable characters.

Though the series has come to an end it continues to have a pretty ample fanbase. Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup promptly dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil plaguing Townsvile. But an extra ingredient, the mysterious chemical X, was accidentally added to the concoction, causing three perfect little girls with superpowers to be created instead. One faithful day a man living in the town, Professor Utonium, attempted to create the “perfect little girl” by mixing sugar, spice and everything nice. The plot of the show was that a town, uniquely dubbed Townsville, was constantly being terrorized by giant monsters, evil villains, and any other threatening entity under the sun. It was a superhero show, but rather than having its heroes be muscular spandex wearing adults, the heroes in The Powerpuff Girls were adorable, harmless looking little girls who could pack just as big a punch as any macho man hero could.
